Well, L4 was awesome! It was the best cleanse yet in the sense of simplicity and I feel such a sense of accomplishment to have had only water for 7 days! I never thought I could have done that.

It makes me feel so empowered in everything I do in my life. I feel confident and strong. I feel like I can do anything I set my mind to. It is a feeling that is priceless and I don't think it is achievable any other way than through the HPS system. Let me explain... I feel that the simplicity of L4 brings you to a whole new level in your life - mentally, physically and spiritually. The fact that you can survive and function just fine on water breaks the cycle of the need for food. This is powerful because I feel like I have always been a prisoner to food. Living for it and thinking about it everyday, all day. Now I am free! I have totally changed my perception about food over the last year and again, with L4 it has transformed even more.

My body has changed dramatically over this past year. I am almost to my high school weight, which is ideal for my body and I feel great! I noticed with this cleanse more than the others that I lost a dramatic amount of inches and my body really slimmed down. I have been at a plateau since my last cleanse and this really helped to get me over the hump. The most important thing of all is that I have been taught, through the HPS system, how to eat and take care of my body, so I have continued losing weight throughout this past year and kept it off. With the knowledge and experience I have gained I now have a healthy outlook on food and my weight, which I have been struggling with all of my life. It is such an amazing gift I have gotten. I am very blessed to have found this program!

For all of you out there who are thinking of doing this program or who have begun this journey and are still at the early stages, please keep in mind that this program is not a quick overnight cure to all your health problems, but a gradual progression to all of your health desires, whatever they may be, and then more. Don't get discouraged if you feel like you are not measuring up to other cleansers. It's not about that. Your time will come and you will see your health turn around before your eyes, but it just takes time. One of the many important things I have learned in L4 is that you can not just go through the motions of cleansing with your physical body, you really need to cleanse your mind and spirit as well to get optimal health. Once you do this everything will fall into place, but you need to get all 3 into balance before you can achieve this. I think I wanted an easy fix. I knew I could do the cleanses, but I was ignoring the aspect of my emotional well-being. I didn't realize the significance it played in my health. So, this is an area that I will be focusing on over this next year. But again, as you can see, this is all a process and you have different insights and grow so much with each cleanse. So, to quit after the first few levels because you don't think it is doing that much, or it didn't cure whatever health problem you might have is ridiculous. And not to try at all is even sadder.

I still have lots of work to do, but I am excited at the progress I have made and the direction I am headed in. This has been a life-changing year for me in all aspects of my life and I thank Jos-hua for giving me the tools and knowledge to do this.

Let me be the first to confirm Janaka's comment about those coming along behind. Your experience with breaking the "food mindset" is a real eye opener. I never thought of it quite that way since food is basic to survival. However, I have begun to see how much food drives my daily schedule and time choices.

I also hear you about "the process". I am finding shifting gears mentally on that one is one of my biggest hurdles to making real progress on this journey. I have been so mentally focused on something out there in the future that I miss a lot of what is happening before my eyes in the "now". Thanks for emphasizing the process and the time element involved.

Neat about your weight change. That must be a really awesome aspect of what HPS has meant for you and your self-image/esteem. No small achievement!

Your point about cleansing the mind and spirit is a real challenge as it goes to the core of our self preservation needs and instincts. It is a point where we are usually the most vulnerable to pain and disappointment. Your testimony about those areas encourages me to press on in them as well.
