What characterized my HPS 7 DW level two freedom cleanse?

It was a wonderfully unique time to make an investment into better health habits that will help me for the rest of my life.
I enjoy those benefits every day and have to give credit where it is due: i.e., to the cooperative effort of Jos-hua, the HPS community, and myself.

Some four months ago I signed up for the HPS 7-day wonder level one course. I had a constipation problem for the second time in my life and was not going to let there be a third. I heard about HPS on a chance internet search, and basically couldn’t stop reading the website, it was eye-opening to say the least.

Since then, I have come to realize some of the abuses I did to my body without giving it much thought. I had spent a good part of my life eating processed junk, virtual poisons, and in incompatible combinations. Then, as I was getting into my latter thirties, I began to feel the rumblings of declining vigor, energy, and flexibility. I began to follow some low carb/ high protein mentality, but that was not a good fit for me. The resulting constipation was a numbing rude awakening.

In between cleanses, I went to see a gastro-enterologist at a local hospital. The result of that meeting did not stack up well to the information, practice, and guidance that you get here, i.e. nothing about diet, exercise, energy, or supplements. He told me that constipation is normal, that he himself only has a bm once every three days, and that many of his patients go for 30 days without a bowel movement. As for cleansing, “the stuff inside us is supposed to be there.”

He prescribed a colonoscopy, which I eventually did. The bowel prep that you drink for a colonoscopy contains polyethylene-glycol, a chemical that is used in spray-on oven cleaners, among other things.

Supposedly, this “cleans you out” big time, so the scope can go into a clean colon. I was able to view the colon on the screen in front of me. Everything was fine, nice healthy blood vessels and no polyps or pockets.

A colonoscopy can be a valuable diagnostic tool, but it only covers the first five or six feet of intestine (colon), and nothing of the 20 foot long small intestine. When I did my level two cleanse and saw the impacted sludge and feces and a few other choice guests come out ( parasites?!), I had to wonder what misguided thinking people have on the prescription bowel prep. It did not even TOUCH the impacted shit lying in the bends and folds of the digestive tract that the level two did (particularly on days 6, 7, and 8)

Needless to say, I am happy to have completed my level two cleanse. I have had some really nice bowel movements since then. I have also binged on a few foods that slowed me right down again, so I am still learning what works and what doesn’t.

The level two protocol puts you solidly on the road that is going to lead out of the woods and into the clear, “like following a winding stream uphill into the mountains in order discover its source.”

Along the road there are more “cylinders to fire on” than just diet, nutrition and cleansing. I loved doing the level two, as it went deeper into the concepts of energy and how it applies toward the benefit of long term good health. There is no way I could go back to the uninformed, nonchalant approach to health that led me to the difficult bowel condition in the first place.

And to itemize some of the other improvements over the last four months:

a) I used to get occasional headaches for which I would take aspirin, and maybe two cups of coffee. I have not had one headache or aspirin in four months. I’ve all but stopped drinking coffee.

b) My lower back is just great. It would always go in and out of whack, for which I would have to go see a chiropractor or use an inversion table.

c) Spring is here and that means allergies, pollen, hayfever, sneezing, and a trip to the drugstore for antihistamine. Not so far this spring!

Finally, I would just like to say that I have a folder icon on my computer desktop that says “HPS”. In that folder I have links to the support group, the website, and several sites pertaining to nutrition and many other modalities and therapies that go along with taking care of yourself and your family. Every one of the different modalities I first heard about through my activities here. So therefore HPS has become the “hub” upon which I am able to forge a new strategy for life’s second half and for that I am grateful.

Our healthcare system is pathetic. Disease is normal. Pharmaceutical drugs are our silver bullets. Nevermind that they don't work and do cause all sort of frightening side effects. Just keep taking them, and plan your funeral, because it's coming up soon.

Congratulations on taking control of your health. Keep doing it and keep talking about it. You never know when you will strike a chord and someone will hear it. We can only change ourselves, but we never know who we might influence.

At the end of the day, good health isn't comsumed, it's a process and you are a living example of that process in action...no one can do it for you, and no one can really understand it unless they do it... wow, that is a health-care "professional" saying a bowel movement every three days ....it still amazes me sometimes....30 days without a bowel movement, i cannot imagine...

it seems to me that the only positive result from this colonscopy was to raise awareness of a dire health-care situation and a (from an holistic and hps point of view) backward dark aged curative therapy.

I staggers me that after many years of schooling and training, added to years of 'practising health care', this is the expertise that the general public get. It doesn't surprise me especially as this guy was completely oblivious to the fact that he assumed that his own regularity of BMs was healthy.

just for the record, for someone who isn't cleansing with us...

Here is what happened to Marty after writing the above testimonial.

And my big question to you before reading his follow up cleanses is, after your colonoscopy, where did youR health go, a year and two later what were you doing with it, for it?

If you've just been exercising, dieting and popping pills of different colors and sorts, in our books that means you haven't been doing very much with it, or for it.

If you read Marty's above level 3 and level 4 reviews, you'll know exactly what I mean in the above sentence. EMPOWERING to say the least. No?

Thinking that you do not need to cleanse PROPERLY (and I put the emphasis on properly because there are too many quick fix fakes out there), do not need to invest time and energy and money in your health is mistaken; a view that cannot sustain itself in the long run... Don't be complacent, we have a lot of work to do with your internal plumbing.
