Kate_V, Age 23, 7DW Level 1, Introduction-Child Care Provider, Doula and New Mother

Hello to all!

I am unbelievably excited to be on this path with all of you. I have a baby girl who just turned one year old last Saturday and since her birth I have stuggled immensly with my energy and health. I feel constantly fatigued, catch little viruses and feel like I don't have enough brain-power to be a good parent. I am a doula and help other women give birth and transition to motherhood. When it came to be my time to help myself, I have struggled greatly; physically, mentally and emotionally.

I have had "minor" health troubles such as eczema, acne and bladder infections since adolesence however since the birth of my baby my health has taken quite the plunge.

In the course of my work with pregnant and newly post partum women I discovered natural medicine as a means for helping ailments and infections with out drugs. This has led me on what I believe is my true path and passion in life; naturopathy. I am currently enrolled in my first year of formal orthodox naturopathy education where we study from Eastern and Western traditional healing teachings with a foundation on colon health and trophology.

I have learned so much in such a short period of time that I was feeling overwhelmed by the information I received in class about fasting, nutrition, herbs, parasites and cleansing. I was interested in just doing a colonic session when I came across the HPS website. And like Patricia_A, I read the website entirely in just a few days, each time getting more and more excited about such a comprehensive program that integrated all the components I have come to recognize as vital for true cleansing and lasting health.

I plan to start my cleanse at some point in late fall. I can't wait to start feeling better and sharing my soon-to-be brighter and vibrant energy with others.

Welcome Kate!

You have definitely stumbled (or was it fate?) upon the right website! The school you are enrolled in sounds very interesting, and without doubt you will be able to bring a lot to the classroom by being a practitioner of your own health here at HPS.

Good on you for noticing that your energy and general health needed attention! Sometimes people that do a lot for other people tend to forget about themselves...I think we can all think of a time in our lives where that has been the case.

The best thing you can do right now Kate, other than getting yourself prepared for your upcoming Level 1 cleanse, is to dive into the forum and get to know as many of us as you can...we are all here to help, encourage, and support you. You are quite lucky to be joining at this time, because there are a couple of us who are starting our cleanses quite soon. Patricia is starting her Level 1 on the 16th, and I am starting my Level 2 on the 20th. Jump right in there and watch us as we start, and continue improving our health!

Great to have you here Kate. You have made the right choice!

Peace and love,
Aaron

Hey Kate,

I’m excited just reading your intro…. Good for you on being thorough…if you approach and do your cleanse likewise I’d say all those health problems you mentioned as a concern will be a thing of the past very soon.

So let me say welcome and send my best wishes for your upcoming cleanse….

Hello Kate.

And welcome to the family here at HPS. Happy birthday to your daughter and warm blessings both of you too. You have a great advantage and an opportunity as you're studying naturopathy that you're learning so much of what we deal with when hps cleansing. I believe that your time here at hps will also help your learning and development with your course too.

As for the difficulties and issues with your health, all of them have been dealth with successfully by others who have done hps cleansing, and subsequently propelled their health to a higher level in time.

And what we learn from following this comprehensive program, you'll be able to be of even greater help to other women too. From what you've said i feel you'll take to HPS like duck to water, and soon experience the joy of increasingly good health. To be able to take this step at your young age too will set good habits for a lifetime for you and your daughter too.

Good to have you with us kate.

Hi Kate and welcome from another HPS cleanser.

You sound like you're going to fit right in here. It's great to read about your new baby (how exciting!!) and your ambitions.

I know you'll find good health, good info and good friends here.

Hi Kate, welcome! It's encouraging to see naturopathy gaining interest in the western world, and I don't doubt that your studies will find a perfect complement in what you'll be learning here at HPS, which is a tremendous education in its own right. Since you have some time before you plan to start your Level 1, your best bet is just to take things slowly, get involved in the various cleansing threads here and read up on the Level 1 resources--chiefly Dan Reid--so that you have a good familiarity with the process by the time you begin.

Thank you all so much for so many well wishes on my journey! I have been following many of your stories and trying to figure out where your newest posts are so that I can respond to where you are now, not 5 months ago.

I feel very loved to have so much support and encouragement from you. I look forward to getting to know all of you and your journeys and helping you as much as you are helping me. I feel very special to have found this place.

Hi Kate,

You're probably much more familiar than I am with how these things work, but forums can be different, so FYI; there are several ways to find new posts or threads... I often click on "HPS Guided Cleansing" (top left) and then just scroll down the list of threads to see which one has been most frequently active. OR you can go to the blue bar and click on "New Posts" or "Search - new posts, or Search - today's posts".

Great to have you here!

love,
Dorothea

Re: Kate_V, Age 23, 7DW Level 1, Introduction-Child Care Provider, Doula and New Mother

Hi Kate,

Good to read you.

One thing I can promise you, HPS guided cleansing is going to do more for your health than all the studies together... afterall, accumulating knowledge is one thing, practicing on your own body is a totally different thing.

Re finding where each person is at....

Under their name you can see their level of HPScleansing: either 7DW level 1, level 2, level 3, level 4 or Master Faster.

So, if you jump to the forum of the appropriate level they are at, you'll find a pre-cleansing forum, formal cleansing forum or post-cleansing forum... click on it, look for the name and you'll figure out quickly which phase they are at.

Alternatively, as Dorothea noted, you can find there most updated threads daily the the New Posts, and seach today posts.

Hope this helps. By next week, after a few times of logging on here, you'll have sorted it all out, its no big deal, trust me.

I look forward to working with you Kate, and I love your background story to date, and I hope HPS is only going to enhance it and add some more beauty to it.

Peace,

Howdy Kate!

Glad to have another read-the-entire-website-in-a-matter-of-days-cause-you-want-to-know-anything-and-everything-before-you-dive-in type of person *grin*

It's so great that you are taking the time and the steps towards better health - really, there's not many better gifts you could give your daughter than a healthy, happy mom. And you are certainly going to want your energy up so you can enjoy (and keep up) as your little one moves quickly from one exciting and eventful stage to another!

Welcome and we all look forward to walking the path along side you!

Hi Kate,

How's things going? According to the calendar you are pre-cleansing now, but I can't find your pre-cleanse thread.

Are things on track for you?

I hope all is well.

With Love and Gratitude,
Allison

Hi Kate,
What a fascinating and enriching path you are taking at such a young age (motherhood, doula, HPS). It's great to have you here. I read a very entertaining book called "Midwives" It was not only captivating for me because of the subject matter, but I also liked the twist that point of view was the little girl. And the ending...

Anyways, I'm sure you are busy enough with your little girl, studies, and getting acquainted at HPS. Its a super program set up here and the support group is incredible. Welcome on board.

Warmest embrace,
Jamie

Wow! Thank you all for your love and encouragement.

I've been totally taken asunder with a recent move and very neglectful of my HPS check-ins. But I promised myself to make this my priority as of November 5th and so I am mosty on track. I've done all my ordering and will post my bad habits a little later today.

Allison and Jamie,

Thank you for appreciating my mommy demands, too

See you in my Pre-Cleanse Thread!

Kate
